This is adorbs! Love it! Using it on this journal and [info]scrumjumper as well.

Question, though: is there a way to enable the navstrip for this layout or no...? It'd be really helpful, as I'm using this journal in multiple communities but if not, that's fine, I'm too attached to the pretty to give it up lol

I've actually never used the navstrip before, so I'm not particularly adept at compensating for it. I just did a test and it should show up fine if you enable it for the journal, although it'll be shunted to the side a bit. In order to fix it so it spans the entire page you'll have to add #lj_controlstrip {left: -550;} to the style code. You'll also have to increase the top value for the sidebar, so it doesn't overlap the strip.

How do you get the navstrip to enable with this layout? On other layouts, when I go to Custom Options, there's usually a section where you can enable it, if I'm remembering correctly, but the only thing on that tab with Generator is the Override options... ...I think I just confused myself... Also, where approximately in the coding should I add that controlstrip command? Last, what should the top value be, from your test? Or did you not get that far and I should just play with it until it looks right?

Thanks SO much for checking it out to help me, I super holy crap appreciate it ♥

To turn on the navstrip manually, first go to you Manage Profile page

At the very top, before the information fields, you'll see "Here's where you fill out your Profile page. You don't have to display all of your info to everyone - check out the options below. You may also want to edit your comment settings or your viewing options." Click on the Viewing Options link.

You'll then see the Viewing Options module. The third section is "Navigation strip". In that category, you'll see two boxes that say "Always see the navigation strip when you view any journal or asylum" and "Always show the navigation strip to anyone who views your journal or asylum". You can turn the navstrip on and off by checking or unchecking those.

You should be able add in the control strip override anywhere in the code between the style tags and it'll work fine. I personally just stuck it before the .meta command near the top.

And increasing it from top: 40 to about top: 60 should be enough so it doesn't overlap, but you may want to play with it and choose a spacing that you like best.
